Junhe Contributes to the 2026 Revision of the Zinc-Aluminum Flake Coating Industry Standard

Junhe Contributes to the 2026 Revision of the Zinc-Aluminum Flake Coating Industry Standard

2026-08-31

On August 21, 2026, the final review meeting for the revised group standard Specification of Zinc-Aluminum Flake Coatings was held in Shanghai, bringing together representatives from the China Surface Engineering Association, industry experts and participating organizations.

Changzhou Junhe Technology Stock Co., Ltd., which took part in drafting the first edition of the standard in 2018, once again participated in the revision and technical review process.

Drawing on its experience in zinc-aluminum flake coating materials, coating processes, equipment and production-line applications, Junhe reviewed the revised document and contributed technical comments based on practical manufacturing requirements.

Updating the Standard for a Changing Zinc Flake Coating Industry

The first edition of the group standard Specification of Zinc-Aluminum Flake Coatings was published and implemented in 2018.

It provided an important technical reference for zinc-aluminum flake coating requirements, testing and product quality across the surface treatment industry.

Since then, the application of zinc flake coating technology has continued to develop, particularly in automotive components, fasteners and other industrial metal parts requiring reliable corrosion protection.

At the same time, coating materials, process control, production equipment and manufacturing methods have evolved.

To better reflect current industrial practices, the China Surface Engineering Association initiated the revision of the standard. Beginning in December 2025, the standard drafting group conducted industry research and organized multiple rounds of drafting, technical discussion and review before preparing the final draft for assessment.

The revised standard places greater emphasis on practical manufacturing requirements and the development of new zinc-aluminum coating technologies, products and applications.

By incorporating experience from coating suppliers, equipment manufacturers, research organizations and industrial users, the revision aims to provide more practical technical guidance for the continued development of the zinc flake coating industry.

From 2018 to 2026: Continuous Participation in Industry Standardization

Junhe participated in the development of the first edition of the group standard in 2018 and returned as a participant in its 2026 revision and review.

This continued involvement reflects the company's long-term work in the zinc-aluminum flake coating sector and its commitment to exchanging technical knowledge with the wider surface treatment industry.

For Junhe, participating in industry standards is closely connected with real manufacturing experience.

The company has worked for many years on zinc flake coating materials, coating processes, coating equipment and automated production solutions. These activities provide practical insight into the challenges faced by coating processors, fastener manufacturers and automotive component suppliers.

Such manufacturing experience is increasingly important as the industry moves toward greener, more automated and more intelligent production.

New Manufacturing Requirements Are Reshaping Zinc Flake Coating

The fastener and automotive industries are undergoing significant changes.

Manufacturers are paying greater attention to production efficiency, coating consistency, environmental performance, delivery schedules, manufacturing costs and supply chain stability.

As a result, more companies are considering in-house zinc flake coating capabilities and automated coating lines rather than relying entirely on conventional production models.

For high-volume fastener manufacturing in particular, automated zinc flake coating equipment can help improve process consistency, production capacity, batch management and quality control.

These changes create new requirements not only for coating materials and machinery, but also for the technical standards used throughout the industry.

During the 2026 review, Junhe assessed relevant provisions of the revised standard from the perspective of its own R&D activities and engineering applications and provided comments and recommendations based on practical coating experience.

Connecting Industry Standards with Real-World Applications

Effective technical standards are built on both technical research and manufacturing practice.

As zinc-aluminum flake coating applications expand, standards need to reflect actual developments in materials, production processes, testing methods, quality control and equipment technology.

Participation from industry associations, experts, research institutions, coating companies and manufacturing enterprises helps connect technical requirements with real production conditions.

This collaborative approach can make standards more practical and applicable while supporting future technological development.

Junhe believes that manufacturing experience should contribute to the evolution of technical standards, while improved standards can in turn support more consistent and reliable industrial production.

Supporting the Future of Zinc-Aluminum Flake Coating Technology

From its participation in the first group standard in 2018 to the review of the revised edition in 2026, Junhe has remained actively involved in the development of zinc-aluminum flake coating technology.

Looking ahead, Junhe will continue to focus on innovation in coating materials, zinc flake coating processes, coating equipment and intelligent production lines.

The company will also continue participating in industry technical exchanges and standardization activities, sharing experience from real manufacturing applications and working with industry partners to support the development of more efficient, reliable and standardized zinc-aluminum flake coating solutions.

From participating in standards to contributing practical manufacturing experience, Junhe remains committed to growing together with the zinc flake coating industry.
